I am trying to find out if "Mechanism" can be used to model a sphere rolling down a hill/ramp. The only forces acting on the sphere are friction from the ramp, and gravity. The sphere needs to be able to leave the surface of the ramp / get air-born when going over a bump in the ramp.
I tried to use a Cam-Follower connection, but it will not work for a sphere. The cam-follower connection works if I put a flat ring around the sphere, and apply the connection between the ramp and the flat ring. However, I need a perfect sphere for my analysis.
Does anyone know if "Mechanism," or another software, can perform this kind of analysis?
Thank you for you help
Rick
