I am fairly new to SolidEdge...I am a previous SOlidWorks user. I am trying to make a model of a chain...I would have used 3d sketch, then a sweep in SolidWorks. any suggestions for how to do this in Solid Edge? The issue is that the chain is not going along one plane...it will need be stepped out a bit in a few spots which is why I was going with 3d sketch instead of drawing the path on one plane. Thanks! J

In Solid Edge, you can create surface that represents say the side view of the chain and another surface that represents the top view and then you can generate an intersection curve. You may also be able to use the Cross Curve command which does something similar, but just uses the intersection between 2 2D curves.
