I'm working in Wildfire 3.0 and I'm having a problem with the model moving out of view when i'm suppressing or resolving features or if i'm moving the insert mode arrow around the model tree. it doesn't consistently happen every time but it happens often enough that it's driving me crazy. I'm working on large parts so i'm usually zoomed into a detail when this happens and since i never know which direction the model's jumped i need to refit the model to the screen so it zooms all the way out.

Anyone know any config settings to make the model stay put?

I used to have that problem. The only thing I could do that I know of was add the " return object to previous orientation "icon which is located in the "view" category.

thanks, Troy - that is a much better work around then zooming all the way out!

I seem to remember having a similar problem a very long time ago when i upgraded to maybe 2000i? there was some config option that cured it, but, of course, i can't remember it. Anyone else have any ideas?

Previous View is great but If you always put your model in Default View in-between making feature changes then it will keep that view when a suppress is done.

You can also save views for each area of the part that you want to use when making model changes.
