Hi,
I am modeling a building that uses reinforced CMU shear walls as the lateral system. Since I am using RAM SS and there is no CMU function they are being faked in as concrete walls. I have used TEK's effective thickness and f'm as f'c to model. What I am looking for is some guidance on what crack factors to use to reduce the moment of inertia of the walls to adequately capture drift. The walls are being designed in a different program but I need to meet drift limits in my 3d modeling software.
