Modeling Diversion Structure

Hello, attached is the model that I'm currently working on. I'm fairly new to HydroCAD. In the bottom row is the existing condition; a catchment to a infiltration basin which then goes over a weir and through a culvert. The reason node 27P is shown as a pond is because there is a wetland that can act like overflow storage to the infiltration basin before exiting through the culvert.

For the proposed, I am trying to model some of catchment 2 (whatever is possible given the model) to go the existing infiltration basin and the rest to continue to the natural stream (which I modeled as an extremely large area since it is not that relevant and all the flow from catchment 2 currently goes there now).

I tried a weir in the diversion structure but I am getting crazy overflow messages and errors even when routing the smallest amount to the existing infiltration basin. I'm not sure if I modeled splitting the flow correct or not (I'm assuming I didn't). If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Your project is generating multiple warning messages that need to be addressed. Doing so will generally solve your problems.

For a start, the diversion structure 29P is developing 80 feet of head over the outlet devices, which seems improbable. Either the outlets are seriously undersized or there in an error in the outlet setup.

Next, the infiltration basin 28P has a storage exceeded warning. To get a valid routing you need to provide additional stage data as the WSE increases.

If you still have problems you need to explore the remaining warning messages. Just click each message for details and recommendations.
