Hi
I’m working on a pipeline subjected to fault displacement.
I should model pipe with shell elements and surrounding soil with spring(or connector) elements.
My problems:
1-If i use spring element (defined in property module),How could I impose loading on springs?(coz of fault, soil surrounding soil should moves, respectively node of spring witch reflects the free surface should move)
2-If I use connector element(interaction module) how could i assign connector to series of points at the same time?(if you wana define connector to ground it just allow you to select 1 point eachtime, while i have thousands of point on my shell pipe)
Tanx if you could help me.
best reg

Recommended for you

1. Loads cannot be applied in regular springs.

2. Create one connector manually and then take the Python commands in the .rpy as basis for a script that does the job for a large number of nodes.
