Hello all,
I tried to model prestressed concrete with prestressed cables modeled as embedded 3D truss (T3D2) elements in 3D solid elements (C3D8R). I applied the prestress as an initial stress. when I do this, stress in the cable reduces as concrete deform. I want to keep it unchanged while concrete deforms (As in post tension). According to Abaqus documentation, Prestress Hold option must be used with initial condition. But I don't know how use this in my model. Can some one help me with this?. Many thanks in advance!.
