Dear Folks;

Has anyone ever had to model a flight of stairs in SW2004. I'm not quite sure what the best way to go about it would be.

In my particular situation I often have to create OSHA compliant access stairways which are constructed of purchased treads which are strung between steel channels.

I would like to able to play with the rise and run and the quantity of treads to nicely fit between given elevations.

Any assistance from the experts here would be greatly appreciated

Best Regards

I would use design tables and equations within an assembly to achieve this. Create and assembly and use a driving sketch to control it. Use equations and design tables to control the sketch. These controls will allow you to adjust the floor elevations, rise, run, and quantity of treads.Once you have the driving sketch mate your componants (stringers and treads) to the sketch(s). When you sdjust the design table the parts in the assembly will be adjusted automatically.
