How do I model a pond with a forebay using hydrocad?

It all depends on the effect it will have on the hydrograph routing...

In general, just model it as a separate pond. But if the storage isn't significant, you may not need to include it in the model at all. Please see

Is there a source for viewable/downloadable projects online that used Hydrocad other than the samples that came with the software that can be used for study?

There are some additional samples for very specific cases (such as a pond riser structure), but the exact modeling approach will vary considerably depending on your exact requirements and goals.

For general guidance please see

Small forebays are usually incorporated with the adjacent pond (it may have a small lower beginning elevation but at the upper stages the water storage volume may be integral with the big pond). We model them separately if we are designing for some attenuation.
