Hi,

I'm performing a pushover analysis and I want to assign hinges to the frame that represent reduced beam sections, based upon a bi-linear moment-rotation curve I have, giving a yield moment/rotation and ultimate moment/rotation.

I create a user defined hinge based on pure moment M3, but I am a little confused at inputting the moment/SF and rotation/SF. I have taken the scale factor (SF) to be equal to my yield moment/rotation. I set point A to 0,0.. point B to 1,1 (i.e. the yield point) and point C to the ultimate moment/rotation. Is this correct? In this case, what values should I set point D and E to?

Thanks in advance

Yes, your approach is correct. The SF times the coefficients provides the actual moments that are used in the diagram.
