I am looking for a spring plunger I can use to indicate a part is fully seated inro a hand tool. Therefore the plunger nose will have to go through the body and extend out the other side when the spring is fully compressed.
I am looking for a 10-32 thread plunger, with a spring constant of approx 4lbs/in. I have attached a mock-up.

Yes. I've looked at Carr Lane, McMaster-Carr (of course!) and Vlier, among others. All offer varying types of spring plunger, however none have a plunger that extends through the body.

MCmaster and Carr-Lane sell Vlier plungers.

I did design my own spring plunger once. It's not too difficult. Exercise basic engineering knowledge of springs and forces and you can get there. I didn't find any shocking surprises when I did so. I dare say it was even fun.

Can't think of exact commercial product.

You could modify a small index plunger. Cut head off. Dzus make a fairly small one.
