A question why and when a part gets a modified status in assembly navigator? when I'm opening an assembly [load all levels of wave] ... some parts get modified on open. ??? when I'm making a part active of the assembly from the ant the part gets also the status modified, why?
thx in ad (NX5)

I'd like to echo the OP's question. Doesn't seem like completely logical behavior.

If I "Save All and Exit" from an assembly, then reopen the same assembly, it shows up as Modified, even though nothing's changed...

The save date changed.

One reason might be if you upgraded from say NX-5 to NX-6 and had not yet saved those files in the later version.

BTW - It is not strictly necessary to upgrade files from one version to the next and nor is it always convenient depending on your releasing systems, but for very large assemblies where every performance advantage is valuable then it may be worth considering.

Cheers
