Modifying features in model

Suppose I have a 3d model and on a surface I have holes. I want to run multiple case studies on different size holes. For meshing, I would partition the 3d model so that the holes are in a cell. I also mesh all surrounding cells, leaving the cell with the holes in it to inherit the edge seeds of its surrounding neighbor cells. Is there a way that I can tell Abaqus to keep the meshes of the surrounding cells and just update the mesh of the cell with the holes in it? I would hate to have to keep copying the part, changing the hole size/placement, re-partition cells, and then re-mesh. I don't see why I can not do this since I am keeping the surrounding geometry the same, thus the surrounding mesh the same.

Just edit the feature and change the hole size. When you go back to the mesh module the mesh around the hole will have disappeared and then use the mesh cell option for the region that's been left unmeshed.
