Hello everyone,
I want to use Mohr-Coloumb criterion in the material property definition. I am confused about how to define the cohesion ( Cohesion yield stress & Absolute plastic strain).
My first question is, This cohesion is the shear strength at zero normal stress? In other words, is it the intercept of the failure envelope with the shear stress at zero normal stress.
My second question is, how can i define the softening of the material? i know that i can input a table to capture the softening of the material, but how can determine the cohesion yield stress and absolute plastic strain? Can i determine them from the shear test? or in need to conduct uniaxial compression test.
Thanks
