Mono Flange Valve

Does any body have any experience with the use of mono-flange valves in use for crude oil systems? I am looking at using a mono flange double block and bleed valve but I am worried that the crude may have a tendency to plug up the small ports/passageways integral to these mono flange valves. Does any body have any experience with this valve in this service.
