In a system I have a mono ethylene glycol 60% water 40%.
The fluid is runing from -20 to -5 °C flow is 45 m3/hour and spectec head 22 meter water column .

Despite this data I need to know how to choose the proper pump and spec it as handling water.

Thanks in advance

Your almost there !! Flow, head, temperature, product. All you need to know now is SG/Density, viscosity, solids present ? power supply to drive and any hazardous area rating ??

The pump manufacturer will have to select a suitable material and mechanical seal assembly to handle the product at -20'C

Hope this answers your query ?????

To best understand my query.
I will state it as follow , for a given pump spec handling water at 20ºC normal atmosferic pressure.Guess one of it`s point says it can handle 45 m3/hour at 22 meter water head .
What will be the flow and head pressure aviable if the fluid is monoethylen glicol at -18ºC?

hyposmurf,
There could be 02 questions:
1. What is the best selection for this application?
Materials, for -18C (-0.4 F). From -20 F, normal
materials should be used. Low Carbon Steel and
Low Carbon Stainless Steel should be considered as alternative if temperature decreases.
2. What happen with fluid and performance at -18 C?
For 40%, Freezen point is -20.6 C, GE is 1.032, and Cp is about 60, so you should derate your rated point in
about 5% in Head and about 15% in Power Rating for
viscous derating.
See GE and Freezing Point in:

watch your density, is that 60% volume, Wt, mole?

Density does not affect centrifugal pumps.

hyposmurf, HUH? Humm so the same pump will get either my liquid Hg or liquid ethane into a fixed pressure tank?

Yes for the head , of course if it is centrifugal pump and if the VISCOSITY OF HG and liquid ethane are the same .
That´s is for the pump , but the motor will not be the same, As the power is flow times head times specific gravity .
