Morse taper is typically used on tool steels. Has it been tried with a stainless-bronze interface? The reason for the corrosion resistant materials is, the connection will be underwater for awhile and we hope to be able to get it apart. But will the torque resistance work between bronze and stainless? Are some corrosion resistant alloy/heat treat mates better or worse than others?
thanks.

Stainless to stainless morse mate will gall. Stainless to bronze under water will probably corrode.

If you pick two alloys that are both corrosion resistant then you stand a chance. Maybe nickel aluminum bronze with a super duplex stainless.
this is the worst crevice corrosion cell that you could build, so prepare to be disappointed.
