Some avionics guy decided to install metric nut plates inside his box for mounting...

What are the most popular metric fasteners used on aircraft? Would a DIN standard be suitable for meeting 25.613(e) at Amdt 112? Which NA00 fasteners are most popular and are LN series more available in North America or less so?

I believe DIN can be interchangeable with NAS... its an unusual situation... you could use material properties for allowables..
