can anybody describe relation between motion and assembly mates?

If I understand your question, you are asking what the relationship is between Motion package functionality and Assembly mating conditions?

If this is the case then simply your mating conditions define the available range of movement between each connecting component. Assemblies define the the degrees of freedom. The motion module uses these.

Is that basically what you were asking about?
