Motor Model used in sensorless vector drive

Hello All,
I have been trying to get some resources about motor model that is used in sensorless vector drive.Please advise on where i can get information on how exactly a motor model is prepared.

There are several different approaches to this. W. Leonhard covers the fundamentals in his book "Control of Electrical Drives" (400+ pages) ISBN 3-540-59380-2 Springer 1997.
