This appears to be a subject of great interest now in race and road car suspension performance. Had thought it should have application to motorcycles also. Assist in shim selection for those doing shock/fork re-valving by providing real world quantitative data.

A practical proposition?

Perhaps I am mistaken, thought I had read somewhere that it was being used to tune the suspension of road cars. Anyway it does seem to be a feature of race car data logging systems. Is there any value in the process for motorcycles?

Having invented a number of shock absorbers from fiest principle and filed for patents, and having been involved with various motorboke iders, can definitively say that any form of logging such data is vital and will usually lead to a better understanding of the dampers and ride quality
