Hello,

I am trying to do a "Move Object" command to rotate this object in Nx10. It will not allow me to select the object which I want to. Am I missing something? I've done this a million times in previous versions. I have no selection filter selected and within work part only selected. Please see the attachment.

Thanks in advance.

I believe I have discovered what was wrong... A real head scratcher. While in the drafting application I quickly dimensioned an angle on the part. I did not need the print which I created, so I selected the border and deleted it. This then of course kicks you back to what you think is the modeling application, but in fact is a sort of limbo. I had to select the modeling application and then it functioned as normal. Sorry to send you on a wild goose chase, but thanks nonetheless!

Yes, there is an option, when in Drafting, to NOT display a Drawing. Technically you're still in Drafting, just that there is no Drawing sheet being displayed so all you have is the 3D Model. Years ago, before there was PMI, this was where you needed to be so that you were able to add dimensions and notes to a 3D model.

I think NX should help the user with a warning
"Switch to modeling to do this job"
or something else.
I was encountered a situation that my session
was in delayed update and I was upset why
I can't do my task till I realized that I'm
in delayed update.

I actually think there is some sort of warning or at least an info notice informing the user that he/she might not be in a mode that the think they are. Also, I know that the Product Manager responsible for Drafting really does want to at least make it an option to allow a user to close the Drawing sheet without forcing NX to flip back to the Modeling module. So if you feel strongly about this, please contact GTAC and have them open an ER for this as it will be supported by at least one person, the Drafting Product Manager.

OK I'll request this from our NX administrator

Thank you John
