Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to move the viewpoint when creating an image in Ansys APDL?
I would like to create a series of snap shots of a model as I move the viewpoint position in z and select the field of view.
I've found some documentation of how it's done in Fluent:
I would like to be able to do the same in ANSYS if possible.
From what I can tell in ANSYS using the the /VIEW command I can set the position of camera by giving it X,Y and Z coordinates. ANSYS then creates the view from this position looking back to the global origin, which isn't quite what I'm after.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
George

Hello,

What I would do is to use the /view command to rotate the view, then after changing view I would take a print screen (using the Prnt Scrn) key on the keyboard and then paste in paint. you should have a copy of your screen. You can then select the ANSYS model only, copy to a new paint windows and save it as a picture. You should do it for every position you want to capture.

I hope I have helped,
