Hello Everyone,

I am running a moving load on precast concrete bridge. It is simply supported bridge, so I should have zero moments at the end. This is satisfied when I run my dead load. However, when I run my moving load, my response is different and there is moment near the end. I explored all possible scenarios, if anyone have a possible insight of why it is behaving this way, it will be greatly appreciated.

If you are integrating the moments across both the line element girder as well as the plate element deck, then it is understandable that you would have a small amount of moment at the ends for a moving load analysis as the adjacent deck elements that are not part of your effective girder section would add a small amount of restraint along the edges at the end and act as a boundary condition. But this should be small and not large. Based on your graph, it looks rather large. That's 11,200 k-ft of moment at the ends!!! Something is wrong as that number is way too high.
