Hi all,
there i have trouble during generating MPC connections between beam elements and structures meshed with shell elements. The problem is, that the MPC shall be attached to the outer edge of tubes about the whole circumference (360°). Unfortunately, the MPC connects in some cases only to a small segment (ca 20°)of the tube edge. I have also added one image, so i hope it is then easier to understand what im trying to explain. Hereby, the load is introduced not homogenously into the structure and unrealistic stress acummulations appear in the stress plots. Has anyone an idea how this problem could be solved, respectively how it could be avoided ?
thanks in forward
