When I used *MPC with more than 15 nodes in the data line, the number of characters in one line will exceed 256.
The node set I considered is from instances so that Abaqus will automatically add a prefix of 'Assembly_'.
I tried fewer nodes one line. But it seems Abaqus will ignore the following lines. Any solutions if I cannot shorten the set name?

"The first 15 nodes or node sets of an MPC must be entered on the first line. If the MPC contains more than 15 nodes, enter 0 on the next line to indicate that it is a continuation line and then continue to enter the following nodes on this line. Any number of continuation lines are allowed. Exactly 15 nodes or node sets must be given on each line except the last line."

I’m afraid that you can’t bypass such limitation without shortening node set names. Abaqus allows you to define MPCs with as many nodes/node sets as you want using continuation lines but there’s also a 256 character limit for data lines.

Thank you. The number of terms in each line should be more flexible.

I also try putting *MPC under *Part by introducing additional nodes which interact with other parts. But the results will be different.

You can edit the properties of your model in A/CAE. In that dialog is an option to request that A/CAE writes the input file without part- and assembly structure. So everything will exist in one namespace. Maybe this solves the problem with the long name because of the prefix.

Yes, just found this: '*PREPRINT, ECHO=YES'.

The option to write input file without parts and assemblies can be found under: Edit Attributes —> Do not use parts and assemblies in input files.
