Hi,

I have a tube frame, for which I have used beam, ctube elements. Now I have some pipe16 wishbones which I want to connect to the frame using a spherical joint.
I use one node, thats part of the frame (node1) and one node, thats part of the wishbone (node2). These nodes have the same coordinates.

real,x
mat,x
ET,10,MPC184
KEYOPT,10,1,15
TYPE,10
E,(node1),(node2)

Whenever I solve it gives me these error messages in the *.err

*** ERROR *** CP = 50.825 TIME= 13:02:21
The section type for the joint element 1694 is JOIN. Please check and
respecify the SECTYPE command for this element.
*** ERROR *** CP = 50.825 TIME= 13:02:21
The section type for the joint element 1698 is JOIN. Please check and
respecify the SECTYPE command for this element.

In another project, the error message was, that the joint had a lenght of 0. However in the element library it says, that the nodes I want to connect with the spherical joint should be coincident.

I'm confused about how to use the MPC184-Spherical in general. Help please. Thanks
