You are first going to have to ask your customer to provide you the spec, MS6000, I bet its an internal Mercedes spec.

(hows 55ksi tensile Deep Drawing Quality for a SWAG?)

A good one

MS-6000 is a DaimlerChrysler standard that originates from the North American engineering group (Chrysler) not the German/Mercedes group. DCX distributes their standards through their own internal system, so you will have to obtain it directly from them. Technically, the DDS descriptor (Deep Drawing Steel) can only be used with mild steel grades, not HSLA grades, according to the MS-6000 standard so this designation is not appropriate. The minimum yield strength would be 55 ksi according to this, though. Also, this standard is titled "ZINC AND ZINC-IRON ALLOY COATED SHEET STEEL" so there should be an additional designation for the coating.

Thanks for everyones help. But the Ksi value is around 18.
The 55 stands for the coating. It's DDQ a mild steel. Thanks!

What value craner? 18ksi yield should be right, but who knows......

ARRRGGGG! The lack of details around here is annoying sometimes....
