We are looking at the high cost of licensing MS Project for our users and I'm wondering if there is a lower cost viewer that can display MS Project files. This might lower the cost of updating a large user group.

So far I've not been able to find a viewer so I'm posting this question. Anyone seen such a product? We're trying to save some costs.
Thanks,
Robert

Robert,

You can output the views as images and post them to a .html page (or other document). This way everyone with browser can view the file. I use this technique for my project homepage. See the thread on Web Page Document Management System (thread768-41457) for more information.
Hope this helps.

While not strictly a viewer, I like to print to Adobe Acrobat PDF format.

This allows you to control the amount of information that can be seen and is viewed by the ubiquitous Acrobat Reader.

It also results in small file sizes and is easy to e-mail.

Recipients with the full version can easily annotate and electronically sign off on PDF files.

I agree with RDK, pdf the view you want to your stakeholders. This keeps them from screwing it up, or starting their own what-if scenerios.
