Mud pump pulse bottle

Hi,
I am looking into pumping mud with a reciprocating pump and have decided that I will probably need some pulsation dampening. I have been pointed towards, what looks to me, like ordinary bladder type dampeners that I would not hesitate to pick if it were a clean liquid duty.
My thought is that the sediments and so on in the mud will cause a problem with this type of pulsation bottle.
Can anyone help advise, give some experience ?

Many years ago I worked for a company who manufactured bladder pulsation dampers and they used bladder type dampers on sewage pumping without any problems to my knowledge.
Why not speak to a damper manufacturer and get some advice direct.

Bladder type pulsation dampeners have been used for many, many years on mud pumps in the oilfield. In fact, I'm not familiar with any other type used; of course I'm goin' back a few years. Hydril used to make the most common of the discharge dampeners; it is the big ball looking thingamajohn just ahead of the discharge piping. The suction dampeners were typically long flat bladders that sat below the suction inlet. Look up any images of mud pumps from the oilfield and you are sure to see both types.
