This is the first time anyone at our company has had to design mechanical and plumbing for a HUD project. Is there a good place to find all of the requirements we need to meet? Their website is a bit confusing and I'm having trouble getting in contact with someone over there. Thanks!

Did you ask the developer/contractor/Architect? I assume someone has the contract with HUD and would know what they require.

HUD may assign the projects/funding individually, so the exact conditions may not be uniform. They may also depend on climate zone or based on other local conditions. So someone on the internet won't be able to tell you what you have to do to fulfill YOUR contract requirements.

The OAC team doesn't know and they are asking us for the requirements. I didn't know that the requirements were project specific. I'll keep trying to get in contact with someone over in HUD then. Thank you.

Unless they give some requirement, it would be prototypical dwelling unit built to the residential building code adopted by the city/state. They're going to want to build on the cheap, so nothing fancy or complex.

That's what I figured as well and that's the route we're heading. Thank you!

You had better inform the client (in writing) of your intention, so he/she/it cannot come back and bite you. Ask for confirmation that they received your letter.
