The CL-W Lane Load specified by the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code consists of 80% of the CL-W Truck value and a uniformly distributed load of 9 kN/m.

In case of multi-lane loading a modification factor is applied. If the bridges has 3 lanes, for example, so there will be 3 trucks (1 per lane) and 3 uniformly distributed loads?

Thank you

If it's like the AASHTO code in the US, I believe that would be correct. The reduction is for multiple loaded lanes, whether it is truck load or lane load (in the AASHTO LRFD, it's actually both).

You may get more responses if you post this in the Bridge Engineering forum instead.
