Hi All

In metal forming, theoretically, a multi-step wire drawing is better than a single step one, since the gradually drawing of the wire would lead to less defects and die wear and so on , but in practice, more dies means longer stops in case the drawing dies break or when a new wire set is gonna be set into the drawing machine. Is there a solution through this problem ? which selection is the better one ?

The method that is most commonly used is probably the best one. If there was a better one, it would cost less and the user would make a greater profit and others would either copy it or go out of business. If that method was a secret, they wouldn't tell it here.

That's too philosophic. maybe it's better to compare the cases directly here, the technology is of the 20th century
