Hello,
I am working on a 5 story apartment building and am working on sizing dryer exhaust shafts. Each unit has a dryer and they stack vertically on each floor. They will be fire rated and each dryer will be subducted into the shaft. How does one determine the dimensions of each shaft? I assume it is sized based on the dryer cfm * diversity factor, but after that, is it SP loss, velocity, neither? Also, is 50% diversity a reasonable assumption?
thank you
