Hi

I am quite new to FEA/CFD modelling and need some advice on the best software package to use.

We need a software that is capable of performing interactive CFD and FEA analysis, (to analyse flow pattern and the impact of hydraulic loading on the stress on components)

Ansys, Simulia and Comsol seems to be amongst the most popular ones on the market, does any one have any experiences in using any of them for multiphysics analyis and can offer any advice of what the pros and cons for each of them are?

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

If you're looking for a package deal, Ansys Multiphysics is probably the best you're going to find. However, ABAQUS is excellent software as well. Both Ansys and Abaqus seem (to me) to focus much of their attention on structural analysis when it comes to traditional FEA.

I've done some work for a major aerospace company who used P-thermal for their thermal analysis and ANSYS for their structural analysis.
