I have unsuccesfully searched the forums for an answer to my question:
How can I use multiple instances of the same part file in an assembly, where each instance represents a different Configuration of the part, driven by a Design Table in the Part?
I have tried to do this but generally all instances of the part in the assembly take the form of the "most current configuration". In my experimentation I haven't been able to get more than 1 configuration of a part in an assembly.
My example is one in which I am building a box with several pieces of rectangular extrusion. The only parameter which changes is the length of the extrusion. If possible I would like to avoid having to create a lot of individual part files representing the different lengths. If I can drive the individual lengths from Configurations in the Assembly, it would make my model much more parametric, as well as reduce the hassle of managing so many parts.
Help??
