Hey everybody
I'm busy investigating steel beam prone to lateral-torsional buckling. I want to subject a IPE200 steel beam to a single end moment and distributed load. The thing is, the distributed load must remain constant, while the end moment is increased until the beam buckles. I tried to use multiple steps, by using a static general step for the distributed load, and a general riks step for the end moment. The results is not what I expected, and I think I may have made a error somewhere. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
