The practice of sharing a neutral conductor between up to three ungrounded branch circuit conductors has been utilized in the US for generations. The theory is sound and the application for 277 volt lighting circuits that are equal and balanced is a viable way to economize on pipe size and number of conductors. However, the use of MBCs on 120 volt receptacle circuits has created a situation that needs to be adressed by ALL electrical industry professionals. PLEASE take a minute to read this article and consider the unfortunate impact of this accepted and fairly common wiring method.<br>
