Hello,
The client wants to add a 5kW heater to the switchgear building/panel. This will bump the service past the 100A main CB. The upstream one is 125A and the cables will not accomodate a higher rated CB upstream. Our only option is to have both breakers at 125A.
Has anyone had this sort of coordination problem before? I imagine the weaker breaker will trip first. Can you set the timing/tripping curve on these breakers?
