What has your NaCN supplier told you ? ..... He handles the chemical ..

Ask him for a "Storage and Handling Guideline" .... if he wants to continue sales, he will help you out ...

NaCN is not so toxic as for me. We handled more hazardous, for example HCN and P[sub]2[/sub]S[sub]5[/sub]
Answer depends on type of packing. For extremely hazardous chemicals we use leaktight equipment. For example see:
- Dec Group DCS
- Hecht CFE-K or CFE-L
You will find more special devices in catalogs on sites ehsnow.com, palamatic.com, metolift.com, servolift.de, iedco.com, muellersyshand.com, csv-ls.com.
The same situation with dosing equipment for loading of bulk materials into a vessel, for example see this device. There are a lot of companies and devices for safe unloading, storage, transport and dosing. Any type of material can be handled in a safe manner, price is the only matter.
