Hello!
I was refering to standards ASME 16.34 & MSS SP-25, According to that for every ball valve (for e.g.) there is a name plate i.e. containing basic details of that valves are required to attach with ball valve. For this i have a question that Is it compalsary to attach a SS plate on the valve handle or somewhere on valve! Can we us other options to mark this valve like vibro punching, Lasermarking on body part or on handle so we can avoid losing this plates and losing details of that valve. This kind of problems happens during vavles in bulk put together. (Some companies do not fix it somwewhere on valve but they tie this plates with wires on valves!)
If vibro punching or lasermarking options are good and acceptable then can we say that it is complying with standard for marking of valve that i mentioned!
To be clear only, marking details should be same as on plate and as on other options! I am thinking of an different options only if it can be ok or not!
thank you!
