Some wierd behaviour in CAE (or maybe I'm just to dumb to understand what it's on about).
I have a 2D polygonal part, and I'm trying to define a surface, conisting of all the lines making up the polygon. Because this part is in contact with others, I need to deactivate the 'Select entity closest to screen' function in the selector tool window, then use 'next' to select the right line, all while holding the shift key to add further lines to the surface.
Sometimes this works, but often, especially when the desired line isn't the firt in the list, meaning that I have to 'next' two or three times, I get the error message
"name 'side1Edges1side1Edges1' is not defined" when I click 'done'.
Often, choosing a different starting point will avoid the error, but I've encountered a few cases where it just wasn't possible to outsmart the problem. I then had to define seperate surfaces and edit the .inp file to join them up.
Any ideas what's causing this nuisance and how to avoid it in future?
