Named plot styles Vs Color plot styles.....

How do I convert a Named plot style drawing into a color dependant plot style. I start off with a *.CTB template and if i insert a block with a layer that has a named plot style assigned to it , it bails on the CTB and assumes the STB plot style. Can anybody help me understand the toggling of the two?

Make sure you loaded the migration tools when you installed AutoCAD. Type in "convertpstyles" to go from Named to Color and "convertctb" to go from Color to Named. Good luck.
