I am new to NX but not new to FEA. I am busy with a shell model of a tank but have a few questions that I cannot find answers for. I have split the body with a few datum planes and I want to name or group (I do not know what is the correct term in NX) some of the faces i.e. the floor. Is it possible to do this in NX so that you can specify certain meshing actions according to the named face/region that you created? One of the reasons that I want to do this is to sort out a few issues that I have with element normals pointing in the wrong direction on some of the faces that was created when splitting the body.
