Hi everyone,

I am working on a new breakthrough which is recently published in SCIENCE journal. :
In our new system we have NiTi shape memory alloy as the matrix and Nb nanowire on it. is it possible to simulate the new system in nano scale using any commercial software like Abaqus and Ansys?

Thank you in advance.

Hi reza,

One issue to consider: If the dimensions of your system approach the grain size of your material(s), you may not obtain realistic results using material models that are specified using bulk material properties. You may need to prepare a user material model - which is definitely possible in ABAQUS.

There may also be other issues that I'm not aware of though. You should give your local resellers a call.

Good luck,
Dave
