Hi,
I am trying to understand how do weight function solutions work, especially CC08 detail.
That detail allows two possibilities for spectrum input, one entering remote tension and other entering net section distribution directly.
Here is my doubt. Manual says that if remote tension is entered, net section is calculated automatically, but it does not specify how it is calculated. I suppose that it take into account concentration factor but I am not sure. Could anyone help me with that?
On the other hand, I do not know where does weight function procedure come from. Usually stress intensity factors are calculated from gross stress, but when weight function is applied net section is used as input. Do you know where theory background can be found?
