NDE FOR BP AND BEP SECTION 1 & B31.1

I am looking for some direction on my NDE requirements for the following components

6" flow meter section 1 boiler proper
4" flow meter sect1/B31.1 boiler external piping

I am brand new to section 1. I see acceptance criteria in sect 1 but no NDE requirements table or text (other than xray pw-11). While i know BEP is per B31.1 i see no mention in section 1 that i should be using B31.1 for BP in regards to testing. I will VT all welds but i would like to get some insight on this.

Also i need to know whether the meter will be subject to radiant heat? I have not been provided this info by the customer and i am not familiar with boilers. I guess i must request it...

Look at Figure PG-58.3.1(a) in Section I for piping code jurisdictional limits, and review PG-58 for BEP and BP connections.
