Shall I perform NDE such as UT/PT after formed a seamless head?
This head was made from plate with exemption of heat treatment
If “yes”, in which paragraph this requirement was stated in ASME VIII Div. 1?

dursosono;
Do you have a copy of Section VIII, Div 1? There are no specific NDT requirements for forming shapes. Forming is a fabrication detail that is not specifically covered in Section VIII, Div 1 unless a thermal treatment is required or weld repair is needed or forming is done by cold hammer blows.

You can certainly perform NDT as a process step either mandated by you or by the designer of the vessel. In this case, thickness checks might be in order followed by a visual exam of the surface because this would be my major concern if you do not have experience with forming of steels.

metengr,
I have received some seamless head with various supplier. In which one, a seamless head has been inspected with UT & PT as per SA578 Level B.
Can you inform what the requirement of SA578 Level B?

The acceptance standards for Level B are stated in SA 578. It is based on loss of back reflection using UT within a 3 " diameter circle or 1/2 of the plate thickness. You need to review this Specification.
