Can anyone advise me on -or direct me to a standard (and section) on the following 3 queries.(Class II Div II):

Do I need to enclose 24V DC sensor wires in metal conduit from the control panel to the sensor?

My interpetation of the relevent sections NFPA 70 is that I can not use flexible plastic Cable Chain to run 24V DC wires - is this correct?

I require to include an enclosure which will contain 'a non rated mechanism' I can purge this from an air source - what is the relevent standard/section?

Thank you in advance

Wow, old thread, but I'll give it a shot anyway.

See NEC 500 & 502 for Class II requirements, including the answers to all 3 of your questions above. UL also publishes several relevant standards, you'd need to be more specific to get a more detailed response.

What is "flexible plastic cable chain" -- never heard of that.

You might get a better response if you better defined your "non rated mechanism". Depending on the type of mechanism (motor, switch, light, control panel, etc), the requirements vary greatly.
