We had an OSHA rep at one of our manufacturing facilities that has a problem with cord drops to machines that may be stationary. We do move machines from time to time to create cells for different orders. The Electrical inspectors have okayed all machines at all of our facilities with cord drops. Just wondering if anyone knows of something in the NFPA70 or 70E I may be missing. I don't want to stand up to OSHA unless I have good reason.

Not so much stand up but as for a code section or Osha requirement , so you can see what it says.

Are the cord drops hard wired into the machine or

A drop outlet and the machine plugs into it?

They are plug and connector.
